The Mentor Program is just one way that we try to show families new to the school how welcome they are in our St. Stanislaus Parish School family.
Families with students attending the school for the first time are assigned a Mentor, usually in late August or early September. These Mentors are volunteers and St. Stans “veterans” who can not only welcome new families, but provide them inside advice and guidance on the various aspects of participating in the school community. Mentors regularly reach out by phone or e-mail and are always available to new families for questions and concerns throughout their initial year at St. Stan’s.
The Mentor-Mentee relationship officially lasts one year, but many remain friendly for the remainder of the “new” families time at St. Stan’s – and a number of former Mentees have gone on to become Mentors for new families in later years.
